Allegheny Environmental Viewpoints.jpg (70712 bytes)

From points all over New York and Pennsylvania, Allegheny Environmental field staff see some spectacular sights.
The environments pictured here are good reasons we're helping our customers protect it.
Every few weeks, new viewpoints, some you won't see in tourist books, rotate into view.
Stop by and visit us often so we can share the scenery!

Points Of "Allegheny Country" Rotating Into View This Week...
    Shown in the page header:
The harbor at Oswego, NY (one of the hundreds of communities where Allegheny serves customers...and the environment)

"The Grand Canyon Of The East "

Letchworth  State Park is 300 miles from Pittsburgh, about 65 miles from Rochester, and, it may seem, even closer to Heaven.   If you'd like to witness the "payoff" for Allegheny's style of environmental protection, visit our pictorial and then spend a day in this 17-mile scenic park along the Genesee River.

In The Heart Of "Allegheny Country" - - - Warren, PA
Here is a beautiful historic town that illustrates Allegheny's style of environmental chemistry at work.  A wonderful balance between industry, retailing, service, recreation, and residential.   Environmental service is one of the keys that keeps such a balance viable.

Showing The Secrets Near Seneca Lake
Thousands of acres in the heart of Central New York's beautiful Finger Lakes region were used for military purposes for over   seventy years.  Now, as the military exits, refreshing civilian uses are being embraced for lands once posted "Restricted."  Allegheny is in this area often, most recently with a camera.  See "Sunset on Samson's Secrets."

Walton, NY - Scarecrow Capital Of The World!
This is a step back in time to the way it used to be.   The Small Town USA images we love to remember...are still here for us to see...in Walton, NY.  Norman Rockwell could have come here to paint.  Allegheny came here to serve environmental concerns and to capture the friendly images of this community...and its scarecrows...with a camera.

The Old Covered Bridge at Newfield, NY
Everyone enjoys looking at old covered bridges.  We present pictures of the oldest covered bridge in daily operation in New York State.  But the rustic scene at little Newfield, near Ithaca, offers much more than a picture opportunity.

Painted Post, NY - The Story (And Picture) Behind The Name
How does a community get to be named after a post?  While taking a lunch break from a nearby job site, Allegheny field service crew members found out the story (which goes back to Revolutionary War days) and took some pictures (June 2001).

Stockbridge, MA - On Retreat In The Berkshires
This is where Norman Rockwell was inspired to paint the unspoiled America of the 20th Century.  His studio and museum are here.  Today this area is an environmental wonderland where folks from all over the Northeast come to get close to God and nature.  Allegheny came here...to help keep it pristine.  Our photos show the results of good environmental stewardship.

The Niagara River Gorge
Most everyone thinks of Niagara Falls.   However, when making the Niagara Falls visit there is much more to see than the giant waterfalls.  Allegheny recommends to you a view of the Niagara Gorge and the Whirlpool Rapids!

The Village of Cooperstown, NY
When folks think of Cooperstown thoughts are of  the National Baseball Hall of Fame.  When Allegheny field staff come to this charming village on Otsego Lake, we think of environmental protection.  And when work is done, there's more than baseball here to see.  Our viewpoint is history, outdoor fun, and inside museums...in Cooperstown!

The "Chimney Cliffs" near Wolcott, NY
Allegheny services almost half the school districts in upstate New York.  Our field people visit towns and cities of all sizes and discover many "tourist attractions" off the beaten path and not included in most tour books.  Such is the case near Wolcott where several customers use Allegheny services to help protect the environment.  The "Chimney Cliffs" are certainly worth a cyber visit regardless of your distance from Wolcott.   Just click above on the hyperlink.
