Cooperstown is world-famous for The Baseball Hall of Fame. National recognition has come to the Fenimore Art Museum, The Farmer's Museum, some fine resort inns, a beautiful golf facility (shown above) plus the Glimmerglass Opera Festival along the shore of Otesgo Lake. Somewhat less known, but still most appreciated, is the village itself which retains the character and charm of times past.
Significantly less known, is work done in the Cooperstown area by Allegheny Environmental Services in helping customers protect this exquisite environment. Allegheny's low-profile services of hazardous waste removal helps keeps things along Otesgo Lake green, blue, and beautiful.
How
many baseball fans have not walked through these doors? The National Baseball
Hall of Fame needs no further comment here. It's right in the heart of the
charming downtown section of the Village of Coopertown and is open year around.
Stroll through the village main streets and opportunities abound to purchase all the baseball memorabilia you'll ever desire.
For outside environmental beauty, tour boats are available to appreciate Otesgo Lake. For inside beauty, the collection at the Fenimore Art Museum is open daily in-season, Tuesday through Sunday in other months.
