St. Joseph's
Roman Catholic Church

The "new" Saint Joesph's was constructed in the late 1950's replacing a more traditional and historic structure at the corner of Adam and Garden Streets.  The new church is at Adam and Market in the city's Lowertown area.  Many of its parishioners are of Italian heritage.  In May of 2006,  Rev. Daniel Young, a graduate of Wilson High School, assumed the pastoral duties at St. Joseph's along with those at St. Anthony's (Bristol Avenue) in a "twinning" concept necessary because of the lack of enough priests in the Diocese of Buffalo.

Saint Joseph The Worker

In the Spring of 2004, a new statue was unveiled in front of the religious education center at St. Joseph's Church.  The plaque marks the generosity of parish members who contributed to the restoration of the Carra Center shown in the background of the picture below.
