Under the sponsorship of the Historic Palace Theatre, the glory days of the mid and early 20th century have returned to Lockport every Monday night during the summer! Complete with 50's music blasting from The Old Post Office Building, over a hundred vintage cars and several thousand observers turn out Monday nights at 6 for a cruise up and down Main Street...and Memory Lane...in downtown Lockport!

The camera plays a trick that our memories welcome! Turning the normal Technicolor world of today's pictures into the romantic black and white of the 40's as cars from yesterday line up for inspection from Washburn Street west to Pine Street along Lockport's "main drag." May 7, 2001 was the first of a summer of Monday Night Cruise Nights in downtown Lockport and the turnout was beyond even the most optimistic expectations. Over a hundred cars and thousands of onlookers! Music from a giant sound blaster in front of the Old Post Office Building, street vendors with eats and treats, and a couple hours of flashback to Lockport Yesterday!
