The Eighteen Mile Creek with all its various branches is a well known waterway around Lockport. Most folks have never seen it like you see it here, however. The creek, and its branches, usually lives up to the name "creek." It meanders. It's quiet. And its not too wet. But after a few days of steady Fall or Spring rain, creeks expand sometimes overnight into wanna-be torrents of hydro power. Such is the case with a branch of the the Eighteen Mile Creek as it moves through the Town Of Lockport Wilderness Trail Preserve. Much work has been done on the Town of Lockport Wilderness Trail area this past summer.
