The Silo, overlooking the Niagara River at Lewiston is a favorite snack spot in the eastern end of Niagara County. The food may not be gourmet but the view is. The mighty Niagara moves closer to Lake Ontario at this point...and it is really moving. All kinds of watercraft are on hand. There's fishing off the docks, and watching birds and people around the park. And when you're tired of all the visual delights, it's convenient to go up to the Silo and order up hot dogs and soda pop. Our pictures, taken on Saturday, 9/9, were during the "last days of summer."
Some like
fishing off the shore (left). Others enjoy an exciting boat ride right down to the
Whirlpool Rapids (above). Others enjoy being on the water (and sometimes in it)
enjoying water ski fun along the Niagara (below). At Lewiston there's something for
every taste when it comes to water!
