The weather was wonderful Saturday, May 6th, and so was the entire day for Jim and Jackie who were married Saturday afternoon with Niagara Falls as a backdrop. The couple told the Lockport Home Page photographer that they had motored into the Power City Saturday morning, looked up one of a number of vendors who list themselves as ministers, and arranged, for the right price, an instant wedding. They said they would be spending the night in the Honeymoon Capital of the World and then driving back to Cleveland on Sunday. Monday they would be back into their regular work-a-day lives. In the picture below the unidentified preacher is having the two say their marriage vows while a few hundred tourists watch. That's the Horseshoe Falls in the background, the ceremony took place on Goat Island.
