View From The Top
Looking Down On Main Street Circa 1950

This picture was likely taken from the Farmers and Mechanics Bank Building, looking west on Main Street.  Perhaps a bit of a zoom lens was used.   The primary view is from the Big Bridge along West Main to Transit (top of picture) and from the Big Bridge to Pine (middle and lower part of picture).  Part of the Williams Brothers Building shows in the picture to the left with the letters, "LIMAMS" visible ---this of course was between Pine and Locust.  The picture appears to have been taken in late winter.  There is still snow on some of the rooftops.

The picture is from the Jenkins collection sent to us by Al Goehle.
