Rogers Avenue Park

Typical of many of Lockport's small neighborhood parks.  The Rogers Avenue Park gives real value.
It is directly across the street Washington Hunt Elementary School on the city's
northeast side, near the hospital.  Thus it's available for school district
use in additional to year around after-school use.

Rogers Avenue Park has the usual amount of playground equipment, some open space and seasonal park features such as park benches and picnic tables in summer, a nice frozen ice skating ink in winter.  There is no organized ice program here; neighborhood kids don't need it.  For those parents who wish, they can monitor activities from their warm cars parked along the street.  At Rogers Avenue there is no adult skating since children playing ice hockey normally control the ice during all daylight and popular evening hours.
