Message From The Webmaster & Publisher

It appears the Lockport Home Page may be near the end of its ten year tenure.  A combination of events in my life, beginning with a stroke a couple years ago are leaving me with no time for this service.   My world has turned from a slight shade of brown a couple years ago to an increasingly strong shade of black. 

I am working more frequently out of town. and in any case six, if not seven days a week.  Personal finances have been drained as net income decreases, medical bills edge up, and I tally the cost of an assortment of poor judgements in money matters.  I am among those who have collapsed under the "credit card" system.  I now have a problem finding the money for such essentials as gasoline.   I am unable to keep up with personal correspondence, let alone the HUGE quantity that has come into the website.

There is still enough money left from our fund drive to pay server costs for several more months as traffic levels have gone way down.  I intend to keep the website up, perhaps with minor updates as time permits, in the hope that my life might change in a way that some free time will return.  I will let you know.  Please understand that I don't have time to correspond but I do appreciate the interest of hundreds of you over the past several months.  Most of been supportive. I can think of only two who delighted in nasty comments, several more with legitimate complaints.
